Katie is an avid women's motocross rider. She currently rides a Kawasaki 250F in district 17 competition in the state of Illinois. She also is a member of the Women's Pro Motocross Association and the AMA.

Katie has been riding dirt bikes since 1996 and started racing motocross in 2001. She started riding on a Honda XR200 and moved on to a Honda XR250. When she started racing she switched to a Yamaha YZ125. During the 2002 season she switched to a Yamaha YZ250F.

During the 2003 racing season she joined the Women's Motocross Association and attended the Millville Minnesota amateur race. Unfortunately, she was only able to run one lap of practice and not the race due to a broken foot. In 2003 she also qualified and attended the Loretta Lynn National Motocross Championship held at the Loretta Lynn ranch in Hurricane Mills Tennessee.

During the winter, Katie rides indoors to practice her skills. She frequents the track in Waterman, Illinois as well as the Motoplex complex in Indiana. Katie travels to Florida over the Christmas break to ride some outdoor tracks in preparation for the season racing. She also rides at her own track in Wisconsin when weather permits.

During the summer, as time allows, Katie also rides jet skis, wakeboards, rides 4-wheelers and pit bikes. During the winter she also snowboards.

Katie was born July 18, 1986 and resides in Wheaton, Illinois.

Katie graduated from high school one semester early and attended Devry University in Addison studying Computer Programming. She recently changed schools/majors and is learning massage therapy at WMTI. She also works part time in the accessory department at DGY motorsports in Downers Grove.

In August of 2003 Katie broke 2 bones in her foot, but she only sat out for 2 weeks. Then she endured the pain and began racing again. In June of 2004 Katie broke her left wrist during a practice session for Lorretta's regionals. She was out for 7 weeks and returned to racing by July 31, 2004 to compete in the WMA races during August, September and November. In October of 2004 she cracked 2 ribs at Motosports Park in Byron, Illinois, but finished the race and the season while nursing the injury.

Katie turned pro at Cycle Ranch in Texas over Thanksgiving weekend 2004. She will be spending more time in 2005 practicing her endurance and speed to improve her racing.

Katie changed to a Kawasaki 250F. It's lighter and handles better for her in corners. She spent Christmas vacation for the third year in Florida visiting several tracks to practice her riding skills.

Katie participated in the WMA pro series in 2005 attending 4 of the 5 races as well as the WMA cup at Cycle Ranch. She ended up in 29th place in the National championship series.

Katie was invited to the US Open in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will rode the women's pro class on Sunday October 9th. This is an honor to be invited and her special sponsors DJ Dan's Entertainment, Computer Package Consultants Inc., Warthog Racing, No Toil, and Enxus Oil have made it possible for her to attend.

For 2006, Katie has obtained a Honda 450F and plans to ride the 125 and 250 classes. She has also picked up a new sponsor Robinson & Robinson Construction who is supplying her with a 2006 Honda 250F customized for her, and will be her mechanic at many of the races.
